American Accounting Associates was established in 1975 as a full-service Orland Park CPA firm to serve the tax, accounting, payroll and consulting needs of individuals and small businesses. In addition to providing accurate advice and excellent service, we pride ourselves on establishing a personal relationship with each one of our clients in Orland Park and the surrounding areas.

For over 40 years, our tax planning, tax savings, and consulting services have been offering our clients more than just a number crunching service. We "partner” with our clients in their business throughout the year, advising them on business and tax matters each step of the way to make their business more profitable.

Meet the Owner

William Rudd Jr. CPA

William “Bill” Rudd grew up working in many capacities in his father’s accounting firm. He joined American Accounting Associates on a full-time basis in 1989 after graduating from college. He has been partnering with small businesses for over 30 years in the south suburbs of Chicago. Bill’s experience and knowledge encompasses a wide range of business sectors including manufacturing, retail, service, construction, real estate and medical. Bill has a tremendous respect for the small business owner, who must tackle the challenges and nuances of running a business daily. Bill believes in partnering with his clients to achieve their goals and to provide them with confidence and trust that their bookkeeping, payroll and accounting needs are in order. Bill specializes in tax advisory services, bookkeeping, individual and corporate tax returns and accounting for small businesses.

Bill lives with his wife Katee in Lockport. They have four children. Their free time is spent with their children and grandchildren.

Our Founder

William Rudd Sr. 1943 - 2021

William Rudd Sr. founded the firm in 1975 with idea of being the “partner” small businesses needed to achieve success. With over 50 years of experience, he became a close confidant who aided his small business clients in realization of their entrepreneurial dreams. Bill Sr. invited his son Bill Jr. to join the firm in 1989. Together they worked in partnership to provide outstanding professional services to small businesses in the South Suburbs of Chicago until Bill senior’s passing in 2021. Bill’s legacy continues under the leadership of Bill Jr. and the team at American Accounting Associates.
